Technical Jobs for WVPT's 2012 Summer Season

WVPT is currently accepting resumes for technical staff for its 2012 summer season, as we prepare to produce 6 shows in 7 weeks. Resumes and references can be submitted to techjobs@wvpublictheatre.org. The following positions are available:

COMPANY MANAGER: Must be experienced with high stress and quick turnaround theatrical situations. Coordinates housing, travel and a plethora of tasks related to a summer stock company. Residency: June 11 to August 8.

ASSISTANT COMPANY MANAGER: Assists the company manager.Residency June 16 to June 16 to August 6.

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR: Supervises construction and technical aspects of an intense summer stock season. Also be responsible for budget enforcement. Residency: June 14 to August 8.

MASTER CARPENTER: Residency June 14 to August 8.

CARPENTERS: Residency June 16 to August 6.

STAGE MANGERS (PSM and ASM): Non-union. Two teams will be hired. Team 1 will be in residence from approximately June 14 through July 29; Team 2 will be in residence from approximately June 17 through August 6.

RESIDENT COSTUME DESIGNER:  Designs three productions.Residency June 16 to June 16 to July 27.

RESIDENT WARDROBE SUPERVISOR: Will supervise the costume shop and coordinate rentals. This position will design at least two productions. Residency June 16 to June 16 to August 8

WARDROBE STAFF: Should be experienced in all aspects of sewing and costume construction, may also be used as dressers. Residency June 16 to June 16 to August 6

2 RESIDENT SCENIC DESIGNERS: Each will design at least two productions. Residency is TBD

SCENIC CHARGE: Will be responsible for scenic painting and other scenic building related duties. Residency June 16 to June 16 to August 6

RESIDENT LIGHTING DESIGNER: Will design all productions and create a rep plot. In residence from June 16 through August 8.

LIGHTING DESIGN ASSISTANT/MASTER ELECTRICAN: In residence from June 16 through August 6.

PROPERTY DESIGNER/MASTER: In residence from June 16 through August 8.

ASSITANT PROP DESIGNER: In residence from June 16 through August 6.

SOUND DESIGNER: Will design all shows and operate board. In residence from June 16 through August 8.

SOUND (A2): In residence from June 16 through August 6.

INTERNSHIPS: Will rotate among various departments; please list areas of primary interest on application. In residence from June 16 through August 6.
